# Hunt the Wumpus: license and credits

* **Game and listing**: Gregory Yob (1945–2005), 1973. The listing was published in *Creative Computing*
  (Sept/Oct 1975) and *The Best of Creative Computing* vol. 1 (1976) and is in the public domain. Lines
  52–67 ("ATTENTION ALL WUMPUS LOVERS") were added in the published version ("ADDED BY DAVE").
* **Port**: the freegames project (TypeScript, `src/game.ts`), following the listing statement by statement.

## Favicon

The favicon of the game's page (`web/icons/wumpus.png`, 48x48, and `web/icons/wumpus-180.png`, 180x180; drawn by `web/scripts/icons.py`) is the freegames project's own drawing and uses no art of the game: the amber letter "H" in DejaVu Sans Mono Bold on a terminal-black rounded square. It is under the website's license (GPL-3.0-or-later, `web/LICENSE.md`). The DejaVu fonts' license lets images made with them be used freely.
